In the beginning, the majority of us were uncertain about what policy was, how it was created, and how it impacted its end users. We have embarked on a journey to understand more about policy, how it affects our lives, and learn how all voices can help create a policy that is more reflective of key stakeholder’s needs. We all have a passion for the Early Years sector which includes the role of educators and leaders to be able to provide inclusive, accessible, quality childcare for all children. Through expanding our knowledge of the Early Years sector, including how policy supports the day to day practice of leaders and educators as well as the value of partnerships with key stakeholders, we discovered the relevance of working together, to empower each other in the construction of an Early Years policy framework prototype that reflects the region. This has in turn helped us establish strong, respectful relationships with leaders in the Early Years sector in London-Middlesex.
